DISCOVER MEANING IN SOLITUDE

In the wake of covid restrictions and new travel norms, Visit Sweden joins hands with a group of travel operators to host 25 selected solo travellers for up to a month in the remotest parts of Sweden.

We wish to offer a meaningful travel experience with our principle of Allemansrätt, where one has the right to roam the countryside in Sweden in perfect peace and quiet.

ABISKO NATIONAL PARK

A Northern Expedition

Abisko is a small village in Sweden, north of the Arctic Circle. Just out of town, extending from the southwestern shore of Torneträsk Lake, is Abisko National Park. Surrounded by mountains, it shelters lemmings and reindeer, plus the Lapp orchid. The King’s Trail begins in the park and leads to Hemavan, in the south. The Aurora Sky Station, on Mount Nuolja, is an observation center for the Northern Lights.

BLÅ JUNGFRUN

Of Witches and Magic

Blå Jungfrun is an island located in the Baltic Sea in the southern Swedish county of Kalmar County. Believed to have been used for ritual activities in prehistoric times, the island's past is steeped in rich folklore and countless tales about its magical properties. Walk inside the stone labyrinth for good luck, but perish the thought of removing any. A very memorable site for the brave of heart.

HÖGA KUSTEN

Glamping in Snow

The High Coast is a part of the coast of Sweden on the Gulf of Bothnia, in the Ångermanland province of northeast Sweden. Great for hikes across all seasons, winter holds a special charm here with its breathtaking scenery and opportunities for winter activities.
